"NÚMERO ERRADO"

Short Film: Wrong Number (Stop-motion) Director: Leonardo Marcini | Location: Cataguases, MG

Número Errado.00_02_10_06.Still001.jpg

This work began as a graduation project (UEMG) and was made possible by the Usina Criativa grant at the 8th Ver e Fazer Filmes Festival. The project was sponsored by Energisa and the Zona da Mata Audiovisual Hub, marking a milestone in my technical and artistic training in Cinema and Animation.

I assumed multidisciplinary responsibilities throughout the entire production chain:

Visual & Color: Cinematography and Color Grading, establishing the film's visual atmosphere.

Post-Production & Finishing: Editing and Retouching (frame cleaning and image processing in stop-motion).

Sound Design: Acting as a Foley Artist, creating sound textures and physical effects.

Art Direction: Assistance in the composition of sets and animation elements.

I provided art assistance regarding the construction and painting of sets, props, and practical lighting. One of the photographer's main functions is to arrange the spotlights according to the set. Above, we can see some lighting configurations based on the model.

Foley artist

All the sounds in the work were created from actions performed with inanimate objects in real life that had a sound similar to what should be portrayed in the animation. For example, we used a tomato being cut to simulate the sound of the steak being cut in the video next to it. We recorded foley for most of the film along with stock audio.
